Stuff I Love

Full Disclosure: None of these are affiliate links!  I don’t make a dime from referring you to any of these things…I just love them, and think you will, too!

Yoga

Kundalini Yoga with Ravi & Ana

Once you get one of these dvds, I promise you will have at least 5 more of them before the year is out.  I can’t get enough!  And they release new ones at a pace that will just about keep your head spinning.  Sat Nam.

Veganism

Skinny Bitch by Rory Freedman and Kim Barnoin

The book that finally drove me from 15 years of vegetarianism into veganism.  Yeah, I know people have a lot of issues with their foul mouths, but whatever.  They tell it like it is (and the food industry makes me want to swear a lot, too, so I really can’t blame them).

Chef Chloe

A fantastic vegan chef who can dominate a Food Network contest?  You bet.

How to Feed the World

A really cool 9-minute video explaining world hunger – the basic premise is that we should consume less meat and dairy – hurray!

UN Urges Global Move to Meat- and Dairy-Free Diet

News article that shows how big the vegan movement is actually getting – even the United Nations is on board!

Vegan Comedian Myq Kaplan

His name is pronounced “Mike.”  His humor is very witty and will appeal to the book-smart among us (which I’m assuming includes you!  Don’t you feel special!).  And of course, he’s vegan, which is awesome.  He came in 5th place on the 2010 season of Last Comic Standing.

Personal Development

How To Be A No-Limit Person, by Dr. Wayne Dyer

If you’re new to Dr. Dyer, I recommend starting with this one.  It’s one of his earlier works and deals with your physical, day-to-day life.  As you get more familiar with his work, you can listen to the later ones which deal more with spirituality.  (Also, he has a lot of books but you MUST listen to his audio programs.  He’s an incredible speaker, full of heart and humor.  I frequently drift off to sleep at night with his voice playing in the background.)

It’s Never Crowded Along the Extra Mile, by Dr. Wayne Dyer

This one is long, but worth listening to.  It literally transports me to some other dimension of faith and spirituality.  You will love it.

Leveraging the Universe and Engaging the Magic, by Mike Dooley

This is an amazing audio program, too.  Mike makes a solid connection between visualizing what you want, and how to take the action to get there.  There is a lot of stuff out there about visualization, but Mike does a great job of explaining why you have to combine this with action to make it work.  He’s very funny, too – you’ll laugh a lot.
